Texas left fielder Brody Stevenson played a vital role in his team's 6-1 triumph over Maryland. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Texas. Andy Armstrong closed the door for Texas, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The Outlaws bumped their record to 70-64 with this win.

Texas took a 6-1 lead on Stevenson's 27th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Raúl Ortíz in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Texas to the win.

Stevenson called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
