Athletics Need Extra Innings to Top Bridegrooms, 7-6
The New Jersey Athletics beat the Maryland Bridegrooms, 7-6, at Johnson & Johnson Field. Phil Frank, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-8 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. New Jersey goes to 68-68, Maryland to 77-59.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 16th. With two out, Frank hit a fastball from Luis Zarate for a run-scoring single. The Athletics, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Frank said in his postgame press conference.
