Led by Keith Newsom, the Minnesota Mallards downed the Texas Outlaws, 9-2. Newsom was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Mallards. This win makes it 13 in a row for Minnesota.

With Minnesota leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Newsom hit a fastball from Josh Bang for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Mallards ahead, 3-0.

"They took it to us," said Texas manager Andrew Cole.
