Outlaws Jolt Bulldogs, 3-1, with Late Rally
|
The Texas Outlaws picked up a win at Outlaw Park, knocking off the California Bulldogs, 3-1. Starting pitcher Bob Holderfield was a big reason why. Randy Daniels notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Earning the save was Brent Koziol. He's now cashed in 5 of 10 save opportunities.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when center fielder Juan Tobías hit a double. The Outlaws went on to win.
"Bob was throwing free and easy," said Texas manager Andrew Cole.
After today's action, Texas sits at 78-69; California slips to 69-78.
