The Maryland Bridegrooms extended their winning streak.

The Maryland Bridegrooms topped the Colorado Bears, 7-5, in Patriot League action at Bridegrooms Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Maryland catcher Tim Thomas. Matt French was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 35 of 39 save opportunities.

The Bridegrooms got a big at-bat from right fielder César Collazo. For the game, Collazo went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 33rd double of the season gave Maryland a 1-0 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Thomas told the Maryland Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."

The first-place Bridegrooms have a one-game lead in their division.
