Bravo Blisters Flagstaff
|
A jubilant Armando Bravo joined the postgame press conference at Venom Field today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Flagstaff Venom pitching staff he had just vanquished.
"It may not have looked like it," said the Paducah Tigers third baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."
That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-7 hitting performance, which led the Tigers to a 7-6 win.
"He made it look easy," said , manager of the Venom. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."
Armando Bravo struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
Posting a .259 batting average to date, Bravo has 11 home runs and 48 RBIs.
