New Jersey Athletics starter Jeff Beigel pitched his team past the Washington Resonance, 5-0. Beigel picked up the win for New Jersey, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 11-11. With the win, the Athletics have a record of 78-75.
Juan Padilla dealt the Resonance a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and New Jersey leading 1-0, Padilla hit a 2-1 sinker for a 2-run single.
