The home crowd had a good time watching the Ohio Knights and Georgia Titans get after it.
Good production from left fielder John Helman helped the Georgia Titans topple the Ohio Knights, 7-3. Helman went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Titans. The winner was Clemente Bianchi in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Dave Utley took the loss.
The Titans got a big at-bat from center fielder Roberto Chavez. For the game, Chavez was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Georgia a 3-1 lead.
"We played hard and won," said Helman. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The win elevated the Titans to 78-77.
