Danger Knock Off Texas, 6-4
|
The Texas Outlaws got a superb performance from pitcher Steve Lecain, but the New Mexico Danger still won the game, 6-4. Lecain came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters. Phil Adams, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 8-8. The Danger lead the Frontier League East by 5 games.
New Mexico used the bat of Juan Salazar to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Danger ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Winning never gets dull," said Salazar.
