The North Carolina Aviators picked up a win at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium, taking down the Ohio Knights, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jesse Moore was a big reason why. Chad Kretz, now 5-4, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. North Carolina is 4th in the Patriot League South with a record of 68-92.

The Aviators procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Richard Alvarado. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Ohio manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
