It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Chris Morrill, it came around today.

The 20-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Grizzles Park to pace the Fresno Grizzlies to a 8-7 victory over the Wilmington Eagles.

Wilmington skipper told reporters in the press room that "Morrill deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Morrill hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Chris Morrill walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, walked in the 9th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.

On the season, Morrill is batting .374 with 1 home run and 15 RBIs. He has played in 24 games.
