Byrd Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Thursday, August 21st , 2053 No matter what the Oregon Explorers threw at him today, Billy Byrd hit it. He easily handled Explorers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Twin Towers to a 9-1 triumph at Twin Stadium. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Byrd's quip, Explorers skipper John Yuda said he "would take him up on that next time."
