May's Top Newcomer Named by FL Thursday, June 1st , 2056 Ed Branch won the Rookie of the Month Award in the Frontier League today. After posting 4 wins and 1 loss in 5 starts during May, the Minnesota Mallards starter seemed an obvious choice for the honor. He struck out 25 and walked 13 in 31.2 innings and appears to be settling in nicely in the league. If this is any indication of his future success, fans of the Mallards are in for a treat for several years to come. His record for the year is 4-2 in 9 starts and Branch has a 3.86 ERA. |
