van Aerden Goes on Rampage Against Steelheads Saturday, June 3rd , 2056 At Dylan Park at Hennepin today, Kamiel van Aerden of the Minnesota Mallards put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled the Idaho Steelheads pitching staff, but Minnesota still came up short on the scoreboard. The Mallards went home with the 7-3 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their center fielder. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," van Aerden said in the postgame interview. Kamiel van Aerden singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
