English Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, June 5th , 2056 The hitting streak for Maryland catcher Rob English now stands at 20 games, but the Bridegrooms dropped today's contest 2-1 to the Minnesota Mallards. English went 1-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 1 hit and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Rob English struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. English is hitting .344 this year with 6 home runs and 23 RBIs.
