Selph Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, July 12th , 2059 Ned Selph of the Idaho Steelheads tagged 1 hit in today's 3-1 loss to the Washington Resonance at The Boom Box to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Ned Selph struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year Selph has collected a .288 batting average to date with 101 hits in 351 at-bats, 36 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 47 times. He has played in 83 games. |
