Mallards Branch Strikes out 17 Knights Thursday, September 11th , 2059 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Ed Branch, the Minnesota Mallards topped the Ohio Knights today by a score of 9-2 at Huntington Park. The 25-year-old Branch brought his top game to the mound, striking out 17 batters while allowing 6 hits and giving up no walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Knights manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
