Hit Streak Now at 35 for Selph

Ned Selph has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 32-year-old Idaho Steelheads left fielder extended his streak today to 35 games, going 3-for-5 as Idaho got the best of the Maryland Bridegrooms at Bridegrooms Stadium, 8-3.

"Ned has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Steelheads manager said.
Ned Selph singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

In his stats this season, Selph has posted a batting average of .322 with 198 hits in 614 at-bats, 7 home runs and 77 RBIs. He has also scored 98 runs, walked 26 times and compiled a .360 OBP.
