Duncan Fires Shutout in Athletics Victory Tuesday, August 8th , 2062 The bats were ice cold today for the Maryland Bridegrooms at Johnson & Johnson Field. New Jersey Athletics starter Glen Duncan kept the Bridegrooms cold all day, shutting them out in a 6-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 27-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 7 and walking 2. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Duncan admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." To date Duncan is 8-6 in 21 starts with a 4.37 ERA and has 102 strikeouts in 142 innings.
