Cobb and Jarboe Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, August 10th , 2065 After an intense confrontation, both the Railroaders Mike Cobb and the Empire Aaron Jarboe were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Pennsylvania-New York game. Mike Cobb will miss 3 games, while Aaron Jarboe was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Cobb commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Cobb has hit 10 home runs and posted a .295 batting average. This year Jarboe has compiled a 3-0 record with a 1.80 ERA. |
