Clark Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Sunday, May 3rd , 2071
At Albertson's Field, Troy Clark led Idaho to a win, 9-4, over the California Bulldogs by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.
"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Clark said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."
In addition to going 4-for-5, Clark chalked up 3 RBI and scored 1 run in an exceptional performance.
Troy Clark tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mario Cabello in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Batting .269 to date, Clark has 7 home runs and 20 RBIs.
