Flores Injured, Day-to-Day Saturday, May 31st , 2042 Is Jesús Flores going to tough it out and play through an injury? We'll get the chance to find out one week as the outstanding Pennsylvania right fielder attempts to shrug off a strained back muscle he sustained running the bases against the New Jersey Athletics. Whether management lets him play or handles him with kid gloves will depend mostly on how Flores feels on a day-to-day basis. But there's little doubt that the Pennsylvania Railroaders will be happy for the talented player to return at full strength as soon as possible. This year Flores is batting .296 with 7 home runs and 29 RBIs. In 48 games he has scored 25 times. |
