The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Blue Pirates reliever Octávio Marín. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Blue Pirates have missed the playoffs 4 times. In total, the Blue Pirates have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 29-year history. |
