Samurakami Gone for Season in Virginia Wednesday, October 8th , 2042 Katsumoto Samurakami of the Diamond Club just might have to call it quits for the season. The 26-year-old Virginia starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the North Carolina Aviators recently at Ebbetts Field South at Virginia Beach Diamond Club. Samurakami suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch. The Diamond Club medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 6-7 months.
This year Samurakami has registered 1 win and 13 losses in 21 starts with a 5.46 ERA while registering 75 strikeouts and 41 walks in 122 innings.
