Bridegrooms Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, October 9th , 2042 The Maryland Bridegrooms players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected Cedric Boyd. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." The Bridegrooms have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 29 years as a American Federation Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Bridegrooms have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
