Athletics Win Wildcard Series Thursday, October 16th , 2042 The New Jersey Athletics are on to the League Championship Series, having knocked out the New York Twin Towers 4-1. The final blow came tonight at Johnson & Johnson Field, where New Jersey sealed the Wildcard Series with a 2-1 triumph. Edgardo Madrid was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Madrid hit .412 with a .421 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
