Steelheads Heading to League Championship Series Saturday, October 18th , 2042 The Idaho Steelheads are bound for the League Championship Series. A 2-1 win over the Oregon Explorers at Multnomah Stadium ended the Wildcard Series, 4-2. "We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Octávio Benítez. "This could be the biggest celebration Idaho has ever seen if we can win the Federation Cup Series." The state of the American Federation Baseball League championship remains in doubt, but the Steelheads certainly appear to be strong contenders. Benítez was named MVP of the Wildcard Series after he posted a .375 batting average, while adding 2 home runs, driving in 4 RBI and scoring 2 runs.
