Washington's Wheeler Will Miss Season Tuesday, March 22nd , 2044 The doctors have spoken and Edgardo Wheeler of the Washington Resonance didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wheeler sustained his season-ending injury during the Idaho Steelheads game yesterday at Spring Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Washington medical staff reported Wheeler had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
