Ramos Hurls Athletics to Shutout Victory Thursday, April 7th , 2044 Juan Ramos was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the New Jersey Athletics hurler tossed a 5-hit, complete game shutout against the Ontario Blue Pirates. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Ramos. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked.
