League Suspends Starrett and Menéndez for Fisticuffs
Monday, April 11th , 2044
If there wasn't a history between Bob Starrett of Ontario and Juan Menéndez of Virginia, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 2 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Starrett said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This year Starrett is batting .231 with no home runs and 1 RBIs.
In 5 relief appearances this season, Menéndez has no saves. He has no wins and 2 losses, 21.00 ERA and 6 strikeouts in 3 innings.
