Aguirre Strokes 5 Hits Sunday, June 12th , 2044 Even as a kid, Lupe Aguirre said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Ebbetts Field South at Virginia Beach Diamond Club today, Aguirre showed how well he learned that lesson. The 26-year-old left fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Ontario Blue Pirates, helping his team knock off the Virginia Diamond Club by a score of 12-4. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Lupe Aguirre flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
