Christopher Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, June 20th , 2044 It was a hits blitz for Dennis Christopher at Huntington Park today. The Oregon Explorers second baseman tore into the Ohio Knights for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Knights swept past the Explorers 11-9 to ruin Christopher's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Oregon manager John Yuda explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Dennis was nice but it wasn't enough." Dennis Christopher singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Dave Lynch in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
