West Virginia-New Jersey Brawl, Yi and Young Suspended Friday, September 9th , 2044 Wang-gi Yi of the West Virginia Hollers and Bobby Young of the New Jersey Athletics received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 3 and 7 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at New River Ballpark. In 132 games this season Yi is batting .308 with 156 hits and 24 home runs. He has scored 70 runs and driven in 74. On the season Young has compiled a 11-10 mark with a 3.66 ERA in 28 starts. In pitching 201.2 innings he has 196 strikeouts and 52 walks while limiting the opposition to a .222 batting average. |
