West Virginia Moves on to Federation Cup Series Thursday, October 27th , 2044 The West Virginia Hollers are on to the Federation Cup Series, having knocked out the New Jersey Athletics 4-2. The final blow came tonight at New River Ballpark, where West Virginia sealed the League Championship Series with a 11-4 triumph. Duane Slaughter was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Slaughter hit .400 with a .423 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
