Tommy Carr Joins the Hall of Fame
Tuesday, November 15th , 2044
On a bright, windy afternoon, Tommy Carr, the superb right fielder, stood outside the doors to the American Federation Baseball League Hall of Fame. He collected his thoughts and tried to contain his emotions before entering the shrine to baseball's greatest players.

Carr later disclosed some of his thoughts to reporters at the press conference. "To be numbered among these great players," he said, "some of them my idols growing up... that's almost too much to fit my mind around."

Nevertheless, this outstanding performer stepped through those doors to claim his place among baseball's immortals. His induction into the Hall of Fame, which took place yesterday, surprised nobody. He collected votes from 0.0% of the writers.

Tommy Carr was 43 when he retired from baseball. In 3023 career games he compiled a .330 batting average with 3581 hits, 40 home runs, 984 RBIs and 1554 runs scored.
