Idaho-Oregon Trade: McCarthy for Martínez Sunday, July 2nd , 2045 It's being reported in the Idaho press that the Steelheads have traded 30-year-old minor league LF Ken McCarthy and 23-year-old minor league CF Corey Lummis to the Oregon Explorers for 26-year-old minor league RHP Rodrigo Martínez. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. So far this year McCarthy is batting .304 with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. Martínez has allowed opponents a batting average of .258 throughout his career and he has rung up 99 strikeouts in 121.2 innings, while registering 2 saves in 43 games. His record is 9 wins-10 losses with a 4.36 ERA. |
