Williams Crowned FL Bat King
Friday, October 6th , 2045
Jimmy Williams said he thinks it's extra special that he won a batting title at the age of 34.
"I can still keep up with those young guys," the Kentucky Lions shortstop said with a smile.
He certainly did keep up, as he slammed opposing pitchers for a .339 average on the season to capture the honor.
The batting star also collected 189 hits, 21 doubles, 4 triples and 33 home runs for the year. In 141 games Williams totaled 109 RBIs and scored 96 runs.
