Ontario's Peña Out 4 Weeks Thursday, May 31st , 2046 The Ontario Blue Pirates learned that Robby Peña is likely to be out for 4 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the California Mallards. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be chronic back soreness. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Ontario manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Robby is back in action." So far this year Peña has made 13 relief appearances with no saves, thrown 34.2 innings and struck out 34 with a 1-0 record. |
