Kaufman Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 24th , 2046 With 1 hit at Multnomah Stadium today, Billy Kaufman added another game to his hitting streak -- the Colorado left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Bears today, as they fell, 7-4, to the Oregon Explorers. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Oregon manager John Yuda said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Billy Kaufman grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Kaufman is batting .350 with 61 RBIs, 75 runs scored and 17 home runs. |
