Brin Rips New Jersey for 5 Hits Saturday, August 25th , 2046 Even as a kid, Tony Brin said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Johnson & Johnson Field today, Brin showed how well he learned that lesson. The 25-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Ontario Blue Pirates, helping his team knock off the New Jersey Athletics by a score of 10-3. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Tony Brin tripled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Brin is hitting .272 in 2046 with 58 RBIs and 15 home runs.
