25-Game Streak Ends, Park Hitless Sunday, September 23rd , 2046 The hitting streak that Virginia center fielder Dong-woo Park had kept going for 25 games was ended today by the New York Twin Towers. Park was stymied over 3 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 5-3 victory at New Hilltop Park. "Hitting streaks come and go," Park said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This season Park has 4 home runs and a .386 batting average. |
