California Mallards Owner Passes Suddenly
Saturday, October 27th , 2046
Despondent and forlorn are the streets of California today. The California Mallards baseball team has lost its leader, owner Ralph Wall. He died suddenly yesterday, while on vacation. Club officials briefed the press today on the situation and released funeral plans. Services will be held day after tomorrow in California. As far as who will take over for Wall, the California Mallards spokesman indicated it would be dealt with in the near future, but he had no word on who the successor would be. Press speculation is that Wall's son, Bob, would be his replacement as owner. The younger Wall was characterized by sources high up in the California Mallards hierarchy as economizer when it comes to money and unmerciful when it comes to management.
