Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Darke Tuesday, June 4th , 2047 Win or lose, Andy Darke just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Maryland Bridegrooms right fielder went 2-for-4 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 9-0 by the Texas Isotopes at Arlington Park. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Andy Darke singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. Presently Darke is batting .348 with 78 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 20 runs and scored 25 times. |
