Diamond Club Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, September 28th , 2047 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Virginia this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Virginia Diamond Club today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Diamond Club manager John Heinz, "but it never gets fun." Before this season, the Diamond Club last missed the playoffs in 2045. In the 30 years they have been a American Federation Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 18 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
