Chapman Shackles North Carolina Wednesday, October 9th , 2047 In an outstanding mound performance, Maryland Bridegrooms starter Steve Chapman fired a complete-game shutout against the North Carolina Aviators at Bridegrooms Stadium today. Chapman was the key to the Bridegrooms's 1-0 win. The 28-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." Chapman has posted a 7-13 record for the year with a 4.78 ERA.
