Maryland Sweeps into the League Championship Series Wednesday, October 9th , 2047 The Maryland Bridegrooms are on to the League Championship Series after a convincing series win over the North Carolina Aviators. Maryland wrapped up the series sweep with a 1-0 win in the last game, to take the series 4-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Ken Gardner, who was named series MVP. For the series, Gardner hit .588 with a .588 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs.
