Pike's 24-Game Hitting Streak Ends Sunday, June 28th , 2048 Carlos Pike went 0-for-3 at Bridegrooms Stadium today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 24 games. The 27-year-old New Jersey second baseman failed to get a hit today in the Athletics 5-1 victory over the Maryland Bridegrooms at Bridegrooms Stadium.
Pike did not make himself available to reporters after the game.
"I think Carlos is a little upset," New Jersey manager said. "He'll get over it."
For the season Pike is batting .324 with 92 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 37 times and batted in 34.
