Danger End Lahoda's Streak
Thursday, July 16th , 2048
The New Mexico Danger got more than the 5-2 victory at Albertson's Field today -- they also put an end to the 41-game hitting streak of Idaho Steelheads third baseman Ken Lahoda by holding him without a hit in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Lahoda seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak.

"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."

Lahoda is batting at a .354 pace this season, picking up 139 hits in 393 at-bats with 12 home runs, 48 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
