Akiyama Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

Soetsu Akiyama's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Georgia. The 29-year-old catcher extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Ohio Knights. The Titans took the game, 7-2.

"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful."
Soetsu Akiyama grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

During the current season Akiyama is batting at a .297 clip with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 26 times.
