Athletics Pike and Aviators Jackson Suspended for Fight
Monday, June 7th , 2049
Yesterday at Johnson & Johnson Field Carlos Pike and Terence Jackson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the New Jersey Athletics and North Carolina Aviators. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.

Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Pike will have to sit out 2 while Jackson would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.

Posting a .293 batting average to date, Pike has 11 home runs and 31 RBIs.

This season to date Jackson has a record of 2 wins and no losses with a 3.10 ERA, has appeared in 7 games and struck out 26 in 29 innings.
